Harbours on the French shore of Lake Geneva: facilities, fuel and stopovers

Updated 17.10.2026

12 marinas on the Haute-Savoie shore, from Messery and Yvoire to Thonon, Évian and Meillerie: what each one offers according to official sources, where to refuel (2 confirmed quayside pumps), where to pump out, launch and eat at the harbour.

Before you come: visitor berths and rules

On the French side, harbours are run by the municipalities. Rives harbour in Thonon, for example, lists 800 berths, 58 of them for visitors. Report to the harbour master's office on arrival; fees and length of stay are set by each harbour.

Take care when anchoring: on the French side, the special police regulations for Lake Geneva only allow boats to lie at authorised anchorages, and prohibit occasional overnight anchoring and anchoring in aquatic plant beds (see Navigating Lake Geneva).

The 12 harbours, from west to east

Only facilities confirmed by an official page (municipality, harbour master's office, canton, operator) are listed. A facility missing from the entry may still exist: ask the harbour.
